Named after a Tim Buckley LP (and yes, there are elements of him to their sound) Starsailor are a four-piece from the North-West led by 21-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist James Walsh who began playing piano aged 12 and had written his first song by 14. Viewed as an outsider and misfit at school for his perceived sensitivity, it wasn't until he met up with the rest of his band at music college in Wigan that Walsh came into his own
