Few of the greats of fashion photography have ventured as far beyond fashion as Jerry Schatzberg. He began his career in the late '50s, shot to fame in '62 with 'Behind The Scenes', a photographic portfolio for Esquire magazine of the haute couture shows in Paris. The images that follow, many never previously published, were captured for that assignment - at fashion shows and makeshift photo studios - and offer an intimate glimpse of what was still a cottage industry.
