How do I place an order online?
To make a purchase, add item(s) to the shopping basket. All shop prices in our magazine store are shown in UK British Pound Sterling GBP (£ Great British Pound). Select all items you want to buy and proceed to the checkout. You can pay securely online using all major credit/debit cards (click here for payment info). If you wish to order by phone, simply contact us and we'll be happy to process your payment.

How much does shipping cost?
Shop prices shown do not include shipping. Shipping is added at the checkout and is based on the order weight. You can add items to the shopping basket and select "Calculate postage cost" to find out the total price before proceeding with your order. Alternatively, click here for our worldwide shipping rates.

I am a customer outside the United Kingdom. How much will my order be?
All shop prices are shown in GBP (£ Great British Pound Sterling). When placing an order, your card will be debited in GBP and the exact amount you are charged will depend on the currency rate in your own country.

What payment options do you accept online?
We accept all major credit cards/debit cards: Mastercard, MasterPass, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, American Express, Maestro, JCB. See below for our payment gateways.
 
Secure card payments through Cardsave (Worldpay)
Cardsave (our merchant payment service provider) is part of the WorldPay Group and is one of the UK's largest card processors. When you place an order on our website, you are taken to Cardsave's secure server to process your card payment. Cardsave handles transactions worldwide and are fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) ensuring all cardholder information is stored, processed and transmitted securely. We are also PCI compliant (WorldPay certified).

Secure payment through PayPal
You can pay us securely through PayPal using all major cards. You can even pay through PayPal if you don't have a PayPal account.

I live outside the United Kingdom - how do I pay through Cardsave or PayPal in British money?
All our shop prices are shown in GBP (British Pound Sterling). Your payment through PayPal or Cardsave will be billed in GBP (Great British Pound). Your own PayPal account / credit card / bank statement will exchange the rate into your own currency.
 
Can I place an order over the telephone?
Yes, we accept all major debit/credit cards. We are PCI compliant (WorldPay certified). Please call us on 07733 396076.

Is paying by card secure on this site?
Yes. When you pay online, your payment is carried out securely via Cardsave or PayPal with the highest level of encryption.

Is this website safe?
Yes. On our checkout pages, all your details are entered on secure pages (see the "https" in your browser and padlock to show the secure high-grade 256-bit encryption provided by GeoTrust Inc.).
 
I've placed an order - what happens next?
Once you've placed your order and made payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This lets you know we have received your order. If you don't receive the confirmation email within a few minutes of ordering, please check your spam folder or contact us.
 
I've placed an order, but I'm not sure if the order has gone through correctly?
If you receive a "confirmation order" email from us, then your order has been accepted and payment received. If you do not receive a confirmation order email (and have checked your spam folder), then simply contact us and we'll be happy to help.
 
I have received a payment confirmation email from Worldpay that I do not understand?
If you have selected Cardsave/Worldpay to pay online, you will receive a confirmation email confirming the status of your order. If the Transaction Status says "Denied" or Failed", then your payment has been rejected. If the Transaction Status says "Authorised", then your payment has been successful. If you have any questions, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.
 
When will my order be dispatched?
Orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom within 5 days (Monday to Friday, excluding weekends/bank holidays). Please then allow the necessary shipping time (see Delivery page). We will send you an email once your order has been dispatched.
 
Can I select next-day delivery?
At the moment, we do not offer next-day delivery. If your order is urgent, contact us (before ordering) and we can advise how quickly we can get the items to you. If you choose Royal Mail Special Delivery, we will dispatch your item within 5 working days and the item is guaranteed to arrive the next day by 1pm after dispatch.

Can I have my order sent to a different address?
Yes. When you place an order and enter your billing address, you will see the option "Is this the address you want your order delivered to?". If you would like the order sent to a different address, just select "no" and enter the alternate delivery address details.

What packaging do you use? Are items dispatched in concealed packaging?
All magazines are placed in protective cellophane bags to prevent water damage and are shipped in strong board-backed envelopes or padded envelopes (sometimes both are used to ensure items arrive in great condition). Larger items will be securely boxed. All items are mailed in concealed packaging. Items are always mailed flat (our items are never rolled or folded).

Are all the items shown on the website owned by crazyaboutmagazines and in stock?
Yes. We own all items shown on the website. All magazines are carefully stored in our warehouse and all items showing "in stock" are currently available to purchase. The photo shown on the website is the exact item you will receive (we photograph everything shown for sale in our warehouse, so you can be assured that the item you see on our website is the actual item you will receive).

I missed a recent issue of my favourite magazine. Can I order the back issue from you?
We hold a huge quantity of recent issues in stock, however it is impossible to have every issue requested by customers. Contact us and we'll do our best to help.

Are the magazines original issues?
All magazines are the original complete paper issues. We never sell reproductions.
 
Are the magazines new or used?
Many items are brand new, but some are used ("second-hand"). Most magazines we sell are now long out of print, so please refer to the description of each magazine in our shop where we specify the condition. We check all pages of magazines to identify the condition and will clearly state any defects. Many of the items have been bought by ourselves from new - other older vintage magazines have either been collected by ourselves over many years or bought from collectors in the past. Each magazine in our shop is graded according to condition. (See below for further details).

Do you sell digital magazine downloads?
We do not sell downloads. We only sell the original paper issues.

How do you grade magazines?
We grade magazines according to their condition. We thoroughly check used magazines for signs of wear/damage and we specify the condition for each item. Many of our magazines are in excellent unread condition. However, some magazines do show signs of wear and are graded accordingly. See below for a general guide to condition:

New unread condition: brand new, unread condition
Excellent condition: unread, excellent throughout
Very good condition: almost as-new, with minimal signs of wear
Good condition: read condition, light finger creasing, light wear
Fair condition: tears, creasing, generally well read
Poor condition: tears, creases, very well read, may have some pages loose/missing; generally poor condition

How do I order a magazine not listed on your website?
At crazyaboutmagazines, we have a wide range of magazines for sale in our shop. We still have thousands more magazines to catalogue before being placed on our website. If you are looking to order back issues of magazines that are not displayed in our online vintage magazine store, we may have the copy not yet listed for sale. Please contact us and we'll be happy to help.
 
I am looking for a latest issue or forthcoming issue - can I order online from you?
We will do our best to try to obtain a latest issue or forthcoming issue for you. Please contact us for further assistance.
 
I would like to purchase a magazine that is currently showing "out of stock". Will the item become available again?
Please use our Out Of Stock Request form and we can advise if/when the item may become available again.

I need to do research to find a particular magazine. Can you help?
If you are looking for a certain article and would like our assistance in finding the relevant information / magazine, we will be happy to search through our huge archive for you. For this service, our fees are between £5 - £20. (This fee is refundable if an item is subsequently purchased from us).

Can you photocopy or scan a particular article for me?
No. We cannot photocopy pages from a magazine due to copyright. All items for sale in our shop are the original magazines.
