How do I place an order online?
 
To make a purchase, add the item(s) to the shopping basket. All shop prices are shown in UK British Pound Sterling (£ GBP).
Shop prices do not include shipping (shipping is added at the checkout and is based on the weight of your order).


How much does shipping cost?
 
The shipping cost will depend on the weight of your order. Magazines vary enormously in weight, so the easiest way to determine the shipping cost is to simply select the item(s) you wish to purchase, click "add to basket" and then select "calculate postage cost" and choose the destination country. The postage cost will then be clearly shown before you reach the checkout. You can also view our shipping rates here.


Can I place an order over the telephone?
 
Yes, you can order by phone. Please call us on 07733 396076


What payment types do you accept?

We accept online payments through Cardsave and through PayPal. We also accept payment by post (see below).
 
Pay us securely through Cardsave. Cardsave is a member of the WorldPay Group, one of the UK's largest card processors. You can pay through Cardsave using Mastercard, Mastercard SecureCode, Visa, Verified by Visa, Visa Debit and JCB.
When you complete your order, you are securely directed to Cardsave's secure server to process your payment. We do not have access to your credit or debit card details. Cardsave handles transactions worldwide and are fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is a compliance requirement which ensures all cardholder information is always stored, processed and transmitted securely. Credit and debit card transactions are processed by Streamline Merchant Services.

Pay us securely through PayPal. You can pay us securely using all major cards through PayPal (
a PayPal account is not required).
If you have a PayPal account, simply login with your details. If you don't have a PayPal account, just click the 'Continue' link and you can easily pay without opening a PayPal account.

Payment by post is also accepted (payment in UK Pounds Sterling only):

Please Note: If you wish to send payment by post, money must be received before items are dispatched.



Is this website safe?

Yes. Our website has been verified by Verisign (one of the most trusted authorities on the Internet) and shows that we are the rightful owner of this website. We use the VeriSign Trust™ Seal on our website. VeriSign also monitor our website and perform a daily malware scan - so you can always be sure that areas are secure and you can buy with confidence.
You can check the validity of our website by clicking on the Verisign Seal of Trust in the righthand column on our website (shown on the Home page and all Shop product pages).



Is paying by card secure on this site?

Yes. We do not see or store any of your card details. When you purchase online from us, the transaction is securely carried out through Cardsave or PayPal.



I live outside the United Kingdom - how do I pay through PayPal in British money?
 
Your country's currency will automatically convert into British Pound Sterling for you.


When will my order be dispatched?

 

Orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom within 7 days of receiving payment (Monday to Friday, excluding weekends). Please then allow the necessary shipping time (see Delivery page). If sending payment by cheque, please allow a further 3-5 days for your cheque to clear. Once your order has been mailed, we will send you an email confirming dispatch.



Can I select next-day delivery?


At the moment, we do not offer the option of next-day delivery. However, if you order is urgent, please contact us by email or phone (before ordering) and we will do our best to help.


I've placed an order - what happens next?


1. Once you've placed your order, you will receive an "order confirmation" by email. This lets you know we have received your order. If you don't receive the confirmation email within a few minutes of ordering, please check your spam folder.

2. Once we have dispatched your order, you will receive a "dispatch confirmation" email.



I've placed an order, but I'm not sure if the order has gone through correctly?


If you receive a "confirmation order" email from us, then your order has gone through.

If you do not receive a confirmation order email (and have checked your spam folder), then simply contact us and we'll be happy to help.



Can I have my order sent to a different address?


Yes. When you place your order and enter your billing address, you will see the option "Is this the address you want your order delivered to?". If you would like the order sent to a different address, just select "no" and this will allow you to enter the delivery address details.



Are all the items shown on the website owned by crazyaboutmagazines and in stock?

Yes. We own all the items that are shown on our website. All the magazines are carefully stored in our warehouse and are available to purchase and ready to ship. The photo shown on the website is of the actual item you will receive.

Are the magazines new or used?

We class our items as "second-hand" (most magazines we sell are now out-of-print), but please refer to the description of each magazine in our shop where we specify the exact condition (some items are "as new", others are "used"). We also check through every page of each magazine to identify the condition and will clearly state any defects. Many of the items have been bought by ourselves from new - other older vintage magazines have either been collected by ourselves over many years or bought from collectors in the past.
Each magazine in our shop is graded according to condition. (See below for further details).


Are the magazines original issues?

All magazines are the original complete issues. We never sell reproductions.


How do you grade magazines?
We grade vintage magazines according to their overall condition. We check every page in used magazines for signs of wear/damage and specify the condition in the item description. Many of our magazines are in excellent (unread) condition. However, other magazines do show signs of wear and are graded accordingly. See below for a general guide to condition:

Excellent condition: unread, excellent throughout
Very good condition: almost as-new, with minimal signs of wear
Good condition: read condition, light finger creasing, light wear
Fair condition: tears, creasing, generally well read
Poor condition: tears, creases, very well read, may have some pages loose/missing; generally poor condition


What packaging do you use?

 

All magazines are securely wrapped in protective cellophane to prevent water damage and are shipped in either a strong quality board-backed envelope or padded bubble envelope (sometimes both are used to ensure items arrive in great condition). Larger items may be boxed. All items are securely taped and clearly labelled "Fragile - Do Not Bend".
 

How do I order a magazine not listed on your website?

At crazyaboutmagazines, we currently have a wide range of magazines for sale in our shop. We still have many more magazines to list. If you are looking to order back issues of magazines that are not displayed in our store, we may have a copy not yet listed for sale.

I am looking for a latest issue / forthcoming issue - can I order it online from you?

We will do our best to try to obtain a latest issue or forthcoming issue for you. Please contact us for further assistance.



Can you photocopy or scan a particular article for me?

No. We cannot photocopy pages from a magazine due to copyright. All items for sale in our shop are the original magazines.
