"OH YOUNG MEN, OH YOUNG COMRADES"
Their names are honoured in the English literature syllabus, their faces not quite so familiar. Gisele Freund (then a young refugee in Paris) met and photographed the key writers of the 1950s. She was one of the first to experiment successfully with colour, and the selection of her work we show here has never been published in this country before.
